Alissa received her B.A. in Visual Journalism from Western Washington University. During her student tenure, she was a published reporter for the Western Front newspaper, a published writer for Klipsun Magazine, and later, an editor for Klipsun.

She has leveraged her writing skills professionally by leading email marketing campaigns, blog writing, and social media copywriting.

Fiction writing is one of her personal passions. She is currently working on a novel.
